Page 1 of 2 Texture Impressions If you have any sort of stuff laying about your work area or even around the home, you can find all sorts of interesting textures. Some of them might even make a good base. A quick scan around my room netted a couple of intriguing textures. The first thing to do is get a medium to transfer your impression to. I'm using a 30mm base with the recess filled with Apoxie Sculpt. You can use green stuff or other putty as well. If you're first attempt at an impression doesn't work, smooth out your medium and try again. Wire Screen MeshYep. Plain old wire mesh screen from a screen door. I save it when I can for use in terrain projects, usually as a floor texture in sci-fi terrain. I thought I could replicate the look by making an impression in some Apoxie. Sculpting ToolsIf you've done any sculpting (or dental work) odds are this texture is right in front of you. The cross-hatched pattern on many tools makes a great texture for bases or weapon hafts. In fact, I know this one gets used on many WARMACHINE models. ;) Paints used: - VGC 054 Gunmetal
